About Andee Axe & Her Paintings!
I'm a mixed media artist based in Philadelphia PA & Naples Florida. My work is spontaneous, creative, inspiring and full of life. I'm constantly evolving into new mediums and styles. I can be found at multiple Prestigious Fine Art Shows all over Southwest Florida and the East Coast. I create custom pieces with your choice of colors to match your fabric or wallpaper!
It’s a higher power that comes over me to create one beautiful painting after another. I am so grateful for the passion and creativity!
My experience as both an illustrator and painter has led me to create vibrant images of nature, abstract flowers, nostalgic book shelves and coastal scenes that include women on the beach of days gone by from the 30’s 40’s and 50’s……Each painting is constructed of many layers of acrylic, Venetian plaster, oil paint, pastels and resin sometimes adding cut paper. It is an emotional and expressive experience. I use brushes, rags, fingers, and sponges. Bright energetic colors are used playfully and intuitively. My collectors and admirers love the way my paintings make them feel. I believe they are truly magical. I create the paintings freely on unstretched canvas and then they are stretched and resined. I have been creating art all my life and it is in my heart and soul.
